This is an attractive, sturdy, lightweight trail shoe. I tested it out of the box on a recent camping trip, walking about 3+ miles daily on up and down, sometimes rocky trails. The shoes fit well (I wear a size 10) with lots of room in the toe box without being too loose in the heal area. It felt... Read More

I love the way these shoes feel, and I had no issues after my first hour-long walk in them on uneven terrain while wearing hiking socks, so I'm ready to test them on a longer and more technical trek. They grip my heels well, have nice long (double-knottable) laces, cradle my foot comfortably, and didn't result in any hints of rubbing or blisters. The tan/purple color I chose is subtle (fine with jeans), and they don't make my feet look long the way that some hiking shoes do. The sole seems sturdy, they roll nicely on uneven surfaces, and they offer a moderate amount of arch support. I will replace the removable insoles with Superfeet to add more support due to plantar fasciitis, but for the short test hike, the insoles they came with did the job. They do run a tad small. Lately I've been tending toward a "larger 7" or a "smaller 7.5" in stores, so I opted for 7.5. In this case, I should have more carefully read the reviews, however, as I think an 8 would have been a better fit. Unfortunately, I'm now out of the country, so I'm using a shoe stretcher with my fingers crossed. It's not a deal breaker - I did not blister after my walk - but I definitely side with the reviewers who suggest going a half-size up. All in all, a great shoe, though!

I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet. I have had to have injections. I bought these in hopes of more support. They are perfect. No more pain. Toes aren't cramped. Light weight. I bought 2 more pair.

These are just what I have been looking for. They are a little stiffer than a trail runner since they have a Vibram sole. I don't feel every rock in the trail, thank goodness. They are more like a low-cut boot, which is just fine with me. They work well for longer day hikes. The good news is they have a roomy toe box, deep heel cup and they accommodate my high instep. I'm in shoe love!

    • I know they're water resistant but I've never gotten them that wet to know if they're water-proof. My feet have never gotten wet or damp in the rain or walking through shallow puddles.
