5.0 out of 5 stars. European MasterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Zman Athletics from Greenville, SC on Monday, February 5, 2018These shoes are perfect in every way. Great European style and flair, good room in the toe, cushion and very comfortable right out of the box. I bought 2 :)

5.0 out of 5 stars. On the GrandVerified Buyer Reviewed by Teton_Trekker from Jackson, WY on Thursday, September 1, 2016I procrastinated planning and thus bought these shoes late notice for a bucket list trip. I took the Grand Traverse shoes up the Grand Teton. Approximately 14 miles and 14,000 vertical change over 19 hours in one day. The trail was dirt, boulders, skree, and anything from 4th class scramble to 5.8 climbing. I had very little experience with Vasque but knew they seemed to be at the lower end of the market. Pulling from the suggestion of a pro mountain runner I left my clunky hiking boots at home and instead went with a light weight, cross over between approach and trail running. These shoes provided superior grip that matched to anything that was not iced over while having enough rigidity to hold an edge on the more difficult moves. They kept my feet cool but very comfortable and supported. I only broke these shoes in for 2 days just walking around town and they were perfectly fit for a 19 hour trip. These are vastly UNDERRATED and are a must for any future peaks that I climb.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great TractionVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bucko from Montana on Tuesday, August 30, 2016I bought these for lightweight backpacking and they've worked out on a few trips so far. The upper is light, but gets a great tight fit to your foot. The soles aren't thick, so you can feel rocks in the trail, and this could get old on longer trips (on 12 mile day they started to get sore). The traction on them in incredible. I wound up wade fishing a river one day, but didn't have wading boots so I wore these. They stuck to wet slimy rocks surprisingly well and the grip translates well to more traditional uses like scrambling over rock fields, etc.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Narrow Toe BoxVerified Buyer Reviewed by Buffalo wrangler from NH on Friday, July 29, 2016Nice well made shoes that get very narrow in the toe box area. If the next size up was available I would've shipped them back. Ended up stretching them by stuffing a Ziploc with water in them and freezing it.

4.0 out of 5 stars. A big fanReviewed by Bryan from New York on Wednesday, July 20, 2016Only reason I didn't give these five stars is because the interior heal area is wearing out a little more quickly than expected. Otherwise, true to size, and comfortable right out of the box. These have been my go-to shoes for almost all casual occasions.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Poor sizingReviewed by Ed from Idaho on Tuesday, July 12, 2016Vasque seems too be changing their sizing standards as I used to love their fit (narrow, snug heel with wide forefoot...the most common athletic foot shape!) Now they seem straighter in width..front to back...like a log! I also have another pair of newer Vasques, the Mantra, and they are sized like these. This Grand Traverse model is slightly short in length for the stated size, and too wide in the heel for its length, and for the width in the toe box. so, if you have a runner's type foot, your heel will slide around if sized appropriate for length.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Friday, June 17, 2016I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal and was happy that I did. These shoes definitely run small. Other than that, these shoes felt great out of the box. I especially like the flexible sole and low rise heel. In fact, I like these so much I may purchase a second pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Good lightweight shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Andy from New England on Monday, June 6, 2016These shoes hike very well and are comfortable. The rubber is extremely good on rocks. Note they are lightweight however and offer little ankle support.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Sticky Scrambling shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Chris Hanna from Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 1, 2016I have used these once and was impressed with the traction.
The fit was true to size.
The durability looks like it will be good, wont be able to tell for a few more scrambles.
