Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by hiker from North Georgia mountains on Sunday, April 13, 2014Right out of the box, well-made boots felt good and were perfect for my hike that required walking up a steep, rocky trail in the North Georgia mountains. The adjustable laces can be manipulated to make the boots loose or tight to fit the feet. I did get bilateral blisters on my heels and know to wear two pairs of socks next time. I wear and bought size 7 1/2 boots. I feel like I purchased the correct size.
Reviewed by HavingFun from Illinois on Tuesday, January 28, 2014Good hiking shoe. As with another pair of Vasque shoes that I really like, I added an insole for extra comfort.
Reviewed by Mtn man from WA on Monday, January 13, 2014This is a second pair ordered for my second Daughter since my first daughter loved hers so much.
They wear a size 7 in this Vasque Scree and that is what we got, and they fit perfect (which is quite different than the Vasque Breeze we we had previously ordered where the 7 we ordered seemed much closer to 5.5 or 6)
no feedback on durability yet but they seem well built.

Reviewed by Mtn man from WA on Tuesday, December 31, 2013I purchase a size 7 vasque Breeze GTX and this Vasque Scree on the same order. This Scree was true to size and daughter 1 loved them. The more expensive Breeze did not fit any of the 4 size seven women in our home and they all agreed it must have been a mislabeled size 6. So… Daughter number 2 got these as well. STP made the exchange easy. Both state feel is comfy, but only giving it 4 stars until we hill test these boots in the outdoors.

“I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 med......more often 8 1/2. These have a wee bit of extra toe room. I got the 8 1/2. I was considered a narrow growing up but now a med, and the left pinkey toe rubs a tiny bit. I tried a heavy weight smartwool hunting sock that may do the trick, but I'm sttill debating on returning them even with the great deal. My complete foot comfort is important.
DO THEY STRETCH in the width??
Any suggestion/info appreciated.”
They will stretch some after a while.
“I usually wear a 7.5M In all athletic shoes, hiking boots, and winter boots. I just bought a pair of these in a size 7.5M and my heel is slipping (with a heavy sock and/or two pairs of socks), so I ordered size 7. I saw in the description that they run true to size. Does it sound like the sizing runs big or do you think it could be the fit? On the positive side, the front/top of the boot is so well reinforced that I can't push on it to see where my toe falls.”
It could be the fit, we have had about as many returned as too small we have had returned as too large.
“Waterproof is the sane as Gore-tex? I'm wearing size USA7 on Columbia boots, Vasque boots I will need the same size? ”
The UltraDry is a waterproof breathable membrane like the Gore-Tex membrane. You would order the size 7.
“do these hiking boots run true to size or do you need to order 1/2 size larger?||are the hiking boots non insulated?||waterproof...is this comparable to Gore-Tex?”
According to our fit models these shoes are running true to size. The boots are not insulated. They have an UltraDry waterproof breathable membrane, which is like Gore-Tex.
