A TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) plate provides ample stability with underfoot protection, and a Mako outsole features aggressive, self-cleaning lugs that dig into the trail for traction.

    Used as a hiking shoe here in the San Juan mountains and most recently during a high altitude trek in Peru. Wet shoes not much of an issue for day hikes but I'm thinking about getting the waterproof version for my next multi-day hike.

    This is an excellent walking/day hiking shoe, but one needs to check the toe box stiching. The rib of material can chafe the tops of one's toes.

    Get many complements on style. Strong build, need more cushion.

    The color is a bit of a shock, but the shoe is amazing! No breaking in required. recently injured an ankle and this shoe makes it feel better.
