Passed the ultimate test in my book!

I took a chance and bought this tent for my solo backpacking trip through the Scottish Highlands. I walked a long distance route carrying all of my gear with me (believe me it got HEAVY!) but I am ever so glad I purchased this tent. It is built for 2, but with all of my gear it made a perfect non-claustrophobic solo tent.
I will say that it stood up to the wind, the vents were amazing for airflow when it was sunny (the rare occasion in Scotland), and when the rain came I stayed dry.
There was an occasion when the wind howled and the rain poured down from 4AM all into the late morning. At 10AM when I decided to pack up and continue walking despite the horrible weather,I was thrilled to be DRY! My sleeping bag was dry, my gear was dry... I was so astonished that I started testing and poking the tent, which of course ended with me getting wet. I will say that when I started moving around and rolled up my sleeping bag and sleeping mat, that water had come up from the bottom of the tent even though it had a tarp underneath it. This might seem like a bad thing, and I wasn't too thrilled getting my knees damp, HOWEVER, I should also note that when I opened the fly of the tent to have a look outside I found that once dry land had turned into a swamp overnight. There was a huge puddle/pond that had formed in front of (and I assume underneath) my tent. I can't believe that this tent did as well as it did. If it had rained anymore I might have floated away :-) It did take a long time to dry out, but I was forced to roll it up soaking wet, while it was still raining, and the only chance I had to dry it was hanging from a rafter in a mountain bothy the next night.
This tent performed beautifully and I found other backpackers were envious of it's awesome-ness. Oh, another plus, the interior is very bright and cheery which made it super easy to find and kill the pesky Scottish midges that managed to sneak in whenever I opened the fly.
I loved all the customization available with the vents, but I recommend that you bring a few extra pegs with you for when you want to secure every flap down.
I love this tent! I can't wait to use it again on another adventure.
