5.0 out of 5 stars. HugeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Annie from Iowa on Wednesday, July 31, 2019This is great. It’s huge and I like the sun shades that can move to two sides.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Sturdy!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Prairie Enthusiast from Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 23, 2019This is the second one I’ve bought. I use it like a patio /sun screen all summer long and it stands up to heavy rain and winds very well.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shade, Poles not durableReviewed by Roman from Utah on Monday, July 15, 2019Got the shade for a few days out in the desert last month. Put it together and it has a great foot print, the thing is huge and my buddy who is 6'4 could stand in it comfortably. After 3 days in the desert with 10-20mph wind one of the sides started to keel over a bit. I broke the shade down and saw that one of the poles had 2 segments completely split... hence not a perfect rating. I was bummed as i had a trip to pnw coming up. I emailed ALPS directly, told them what happened and they sent a new pole with in 3 days. Absolutely incredible customer service. Tent is not as hard to set up as some reviews say, and for the price it holds up to the elements much better than equally priced easy up pop ups. I hope the pole last but def a great investment.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Large coverVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Monday, July 8, 2019Good cover but fiddly to set up. Unlike modern tents that use clips, this has sleeves which are hard to thread if there is any moisture. Worse, the fiberglass poles slip out of the shock cording which again makes it difficult to thread in the sleeves. Take down is almost as hard as set-up for the same reasons. But, once up it is a wonderfully large covered space with stakes and guylines to anchor it. I wish the shock cording was tighter as the poles come undone very easily. Also, it would be lighter if they were aluminum instead of fiberglass, plus they would be more break resistant.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very good sunshadeReviewed by M_Rose from N.Ca. on Thursday, July 4, 2019We have taken it to the beach for the last three years and its' great to sit under all day with even gusty afternoon breezes. My wife and I , with some camping experience, can get it set up and taken down in minutes, even in the wind. A few upgrades- like real sand pegs- not the flimsy ones in the bag -are necessary, along with sand filled grocery bags over the guy line stakes. We have found that sand gets in the grommets and makes it hard to release them, so sanding the pin end diameter down and using fresh water as a lubricant has worked for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars. HUGE and easy 1-person set upReviewed by Bizzy Mama from California on Tuesday, June 11, 2019I just set this up on my own with no trouble other than having to go to lowest tension on pole sleeves. Takes over most of the grass in our backyard. Great packable size for such a giant awning. We will definitely be enjoying this over the summer.

5.0 out of 5 stars. ShadeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nick from Memphis on Tuesday, June 19, 2018Good design, easy set up and take down (easily less than 5' with 2 people), creates a good patch of shade. Exactly what we wanted - we use it for our kids sporting events. Have to be a little careful due to the fact that it blocks the view of people sitting to the side of you if they are back a little further than you.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Not goodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Chris from Maryland on Monday, June 4, 2018This awning does not stand up in even light 5-10 mph winds. The guy-lines help a little, but fundamentally the poles are too long and flexible to keep the awning fully upright. Also, the shock cord in one of the poles broke after very little use. Dealing with Alps Mountaineering directly.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Bigger than an umbrella-Verified Buyer Reviewed by M_Rose from NorCal on Wednesday, May 31, 2017Haven't gotten to the beach yet- so that review is for later, but setting this up in the yard was easy for two experienced tent pitchers, it is really BIG- no problem for the gang w. beach chairs- and it packs into a small 9.5lb load-good for duffle packing.

2.0 out of 5 stars. not good in windReviewed by Cody from southern california, colorado & montana on Thursday, December 15, 2016If you buy this, just know that it should be used as a sunshade on calm to mildly windy days. Otherwise you'll need to buy larger stakes (take a hammer) and likely still be disappointed and frustrated if you have wind. it was entirely too flexible, so moved like a kite, and the grommet on the side that would apparently add another tiedown point ripped away in the first gust.
