5.0 out of 5 stars. A great work jacket

I need a jacket with a very dense weave on the outside fabric. I feed horses hay and if I wear a regular jacket, it gets ruined fron the veg material enbedding into the fabric. This jacket saves my street clothes, It is warm anf roomy. I have been tempted to wear it in places other than the ranch.

I have been in the habit of buying my hubs and children the warm, good quality stuff, and never really found something that looked good, that I liked, that kept me warm. I would just wear my husband's jackets when I needed real warmth. I hadn't even heard of duck canvas when I felt like there wasn't one thing that would cut the wind. And now I know. Being factory seconds, though, I did notice that the sherpa lining on the inside of the left flap of the jacket wasn't stitched through- I can easily do that myself- I have STILL saved over $50. :D I never thought I would want Carhartt for myself, but I have to say it's like putting on a warm blanket when I put this jacket on. The only thing, which I understand is something that corrects itself over time, is that the material is stiff. I have already washed and dried it once, but it hasn't quite changed. Which is fine, because I'd rather be warm and deal with the stiffness for a few weeks, and then forever be able to enjoy it. :D

Good jacket and very warm. A little big, I am usually a size 4 and S, I got the small and it was a still a little big and roomy, I could have went with an XS if they carried them. Able to wear a lot of layers underneath, arm length is right on. No flaws that I can tell. A little bulky but that what you get for a heavy duty jacket.
    Would buy again.

Typical Carhartt jacket. Rugged and of good quality. Bought as a gift so not sure what the "Seconds" flaw might be. Usually an odd stitch or patch, but nothing that detracts from their fit or use. This coat has a nice pile lining that extends into the hood also. The zipper with weather flap that snaps is also a plus.
