The down-to-earth appeal of Sunday Afternoons goes back to its roots in the early '90s, when the small, family-run company set up shop at craft fairs and open-air markets. While selling their dermatologist-approved, sun-blocking apparel, Sunday Afternoons founders kept their ears open to suggestions from their customers—most of whom worked outside in the sun—and applied changes as they saw fit.
