The material is nice and thick and the wide waistband is very secure without being uncomfortable. I don't find the material to be at all itchy and it has a generous amount of stretch. I bought a small because that was the only size available - usually I purchase an xs in leggings, but the sm seems perfect (for reference, I am 5'4", 120lb, athletic build with a booty). Although the material is thick and warm, I would say that they are breathable enough to transition into warmer weather. They are very flattering and I wish I had purchased more than one pair! I'm looking forward to testing them out in Iceland this summer!

Wish they came in other colors, too. Really great quality...non-itchy wool, and long enough to go all the way down to my actual feet (I'm 5'8", but I'll bet these would work for taller women, too). The nice wide waistband is also high enough to avoid that ominous feeling when your leggings are in the process of squeegeeing down over your hips on their way to your knees. True to size.
