5.0 out of 5 stars. A pleasing suitReviewed by Overdressed from The Pacific NW on Saturday, March 2, 2013The thing I was most impressed with with this suit was how flatteringly it happened to fit me. I've looked at and bought several "regular fit" Jack Victor jackets and suits that seemed about right, so I ordered this one a little concerned about its "trim fit" designation. I'm too not tubby, but I don't really think of myself as "trim" either. So, I was pleased that it fit as well as it did.
the fabric looks high quality and gives it a very professional look, but I'm glad too that its not too sheeny. Some of the other Loro Piana fabrics I've looked at, while really beautiful, can seem a bit over the top for some settings. This one is more subdued and doesn't seem quite as out of place in everyday, more casual settings. I will note that I'm learning that these finer fabrics do tend to wrinkle more -- this one shows more creases at the small of the back after a day of wear than I'm used to, but that's probably just Fabric 101 stuff.
I also happen to be a sucker for the beautiful iridescent crimson lining used with the blue version. Another little plus is that I prefer style used on this suit for how the outside fabric of the suit crosses into the lining at the interior pocket openings. I'm the only one who usually sees those things, but it adds to the cool factor. I might have to take it in for pressing more often than other suits, but right now this one is my favorite. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Fabulous Fabric & a Great Cut for MeVerified Buyer Reviewed by DenverLover from Denver, CO on Monday, February 11, 2013I have two of these suits now and they are just what I desired- good cut fabulous fabric. They have a good cut for a trim person (5'11" - 167 lbs). I have to have the pants taken in quite a bit and some other alterations but once the tailoring is complete the suit fits like a glove. This is not always the case with other suits I own - post-tailoring there can still be issues. I have already recommended this suit to similarly built friends.
