They have gym every day, and she doesn't like changing shoes. So, I was looking for a cute pair of shoes that she would want to wear everyday, but could be used for gym. These fit the bill. We both love the shiny green color and the polka dots. Unfortunately, the first day she had them my husband let her wear them without socks, and they cut into the back of her ankle (drew blood). Once she healed, I had her try them again with thick socks. That has done the trick and she has worn them to school with no problem everyday this week. I am hoping that they break in somewhat, but with the manmade material, I don't know if they will.

(I paid much more for them from another site.) They were a great fit for her & she didn't fight wearing them. I was so excited to see them at STP so I purchased 2 additional sizes here for a great price! We also looove that they are not leather/suede (animal products).
The only 'negative' for us is that they tend to get black scuff marks especially easy from the playground(s), which makes them look extra dirty until we get home & I wipe them off ... -

They were big and sloppy on my daughter's feet, as Keens tend to run large. They are a stiff material and seemed like the edges might rub along the sides of her feet and cause a problem. I'm also not a huge fan of laces for little kids, but will overlook that for the right pair. These were not that pair.
