5.0 out of 5 stars. good vest-sizing info
Reviewed by serge88 from New Jersey on Wednesday, March 6, 2013
This is a good quality vest and I'm keeping the one I got for sure. The insulation keeps the vest thickness on the low side which means it packs small and could also be worn under another layer like rain gear without too much bulk. I'm 6' and 190 lb and the L size works perfectly for my needs. This vest for some may be on the big side but I will be wearing it on Canadian canoe trips over a mid-weight polypro top and a wool shirt with still enough freedom for serious upper body activity (paddling, wood cutting) so the L size becomes ideal.Over a regular shirt or otherwise thin top and an inclination for a trim fit the size medium might be preferred . Does not come with a stuff sack.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Light weight with excellent features

I was looking for a non-bulky vest that I could use for various outdoor activities and this vest hit the mark.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. HUGE cut

It's very well made and warm but a very boxy unflattering cut. This does make it warm but I'm 6'1" 180lbs and the large makes me look like I'm carrying around a fanny pack and maybe a backpack under it. Would work for someone with a bit more girth around the middle but I won't bother with a medium as it's just not form fitting enough to fit well under my ski jacket for cold days and not flattering enough to wear around town. Love STP's return policy!

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Decent vest, runs very large
Reviewed by Anonymous from Park City UT on Friday, March 1, 2013
This vest was priced very reasonably, works well. But it runs very large, I'm 5'11, 175 and the medium is much larger and looser than I expected. A medium would fit someone 6'00 to 6' 3, 200+ lb, I would recommend a small for anyone smaller than that. Also the blue looks much darker in the picture, it is actually like a very light teal/cream color
