4.0 out of 5 stars. Can't go WrongVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Tuesday, November 22, 2016The pack is well designed. Fits me like a charm especially after fully adjusting the straps. Weight is carried evenlyrics and secured. My only complaint is that a single stitch started to undo from the hip belt. No biggie but not cool. That's why I gave it a 4 and not 5

5.0 out of 5 stars. Stellar PackReviewed by Mountain Dog from Colorado on Tuesday, November 15, 2016I purchased this pack this past April and used it on 3 separate week Iong trail building trips in the Colorado mountains. With all the food, gear, and tools we carry, it adds up to quite a bit of weight. This pack handled it well. The "day pack" is laughably small and almost useless as a day pack. It does however make a great "bathroom bag" for those times when it's "Pack it in - Pack it out". Adjustment of the straps is a pain in the a** and takes a bit if tweaking to get it just right. One bonus I wasn't aware of before purchasing was the Velcro tabs for securing hiking poles.
This pack is definitely worth the price and performs great.
One more thing... It doesn't come with a rain cover. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Good backpackVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ed H from Detroit on Monday, August 29, 2016Used this backpack once so far. Large opening to access your stuff, and nice divider on the bottom for shoes, etc. Fits comfortably once adjusted. Nice compartment on top for extra gear. Would just prefer if day pack were a little larger.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Disappointing qualityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ann Arbor, MI on Tuesday, July 12, 2016Dang zippers. The have been around for 160 years and some manufacturers still cannot get them right. I had a North Face backpack for 25 years and the zippers always work. I finally invest in a new backback and a simple zipper on the top pocket breaks on day 4 of our hiking trip. Not overstuffed. Just poor quality. Soooooo... very disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome BAGVerified Buyer Reviewed by Josepi from Pennsylvania on Friday, June 3, 2016I love this bag. Doesn't have any side storage for little odds and ends and that's the only reason it didn't get a 5 star. The day pack that attaches to the back is awesome and has enough storage for any day trip or excursion from where you base your long hike.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Mountainsmith BackpackVerified Buyer Reviewed by rscottmorris from Germany on Sunday, May 22, 2016Good overall quality. Access from U-shaped zipper on the front is nice and the additional, detachable daypack adds to its usefulness.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great for airport travelReviewed by Jokerzjeep from Updtate NY on Saturday, April 16, 2016Used this pack for vacation and it was perfect! Hands free for carrying kids and plenty of pockets for quick access. Not too big, so the wife can carry also and detachable day pack, made for great carry on. We stuffed it, cinched all the straps and it still only weighed 40lbs. We love the Cross Country 3.0!

5.0 out of 5 stars. This is an extremely nice packVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from South Carolina on Monday, February 15, 2016The more I use this pack, the more things I find to love about it. There are tons of details, big and small. The top is completely detachable. The daypack is very convenient. Everywhere that I would want a strap to hold on gear, there's a strap to hold on gear.
The one complaint that I have (and it's not a huge one) is that the water bottle holders on the sides are somewhat inconvenient. They're almost horizontal, and not quite deep enough for most of the bottles I have to fit in far enough for the elastic to snug around the bottleneck. So if I lean forward, my water bottles fall out. And those elastic cords are in a place where it's nearly impossible to get two hands to with the pack on, but aren't really set up for one-handed operation.
That said, this is a great pack that I intend to use for quite some time. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Price, Great FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Connie from Colorado on Thursday, August 6, 2015I just spent 7 days backpacking the Never Summer Wilderness in Colorado and the Snowy Range in Wyoming. The pack was the right size for all my gear and once adjusted to fit my torso, the weight was evenly distributed on my hips and shoulders. I'm very happy with this pack.
