But the fit is very uncomfortable, the bra was extremely tight, even going one size up. The overall quality is better on the previous designs.

It's like the bra itself is not long enough to fit over breasts. And no, it's not because it was too small. I ordered 3 other bras in the same size (one of them another New Balance) and they all fit great. But this one is just so bizarre. It "fit" as far as getting it over my head and shoulders but I just could not pull the bottom band down to where it needs to be. Going up one size would not have solved the problem because it would be too loose every where else with no support. It seems like it was made for a small child. I am a size small and have never had an issue with finding sport bras to fit me.
Sent it back immediately. What a hassle and disappointment! -

It truly works for high impact. I'm a 36 D, and the large fit in black, but was too small in blue. Hoping the size is consistent by color, I exchanged blue for more black. Oddly though, I had perspiration staining on my workout top centered over each cup. I haven't experienced this with other workout bras. That made me a bit self-conscious in the gym. I'll wear for home workouts awhile to test this before I wear it in public again. Nevertheless, finding high impact bras I like this much is rare, so I still give it 5 stars, and thank New Balance for creating an effective product!
