5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect if you buy one size up
Reviewed by SeedSaver from Indiana on Thursday, July 10, 2014
I like the fabric, the color and the fit. The sizing is normal compared to international or designer cloth sizing. Yet compared to other Sierra Trading Post merchandize it is small. I wear a 6 for designer clothing and for more affordable brands a 0, 2 or 4. I bought a 6 and it is perfect.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great looking pants!

Love this color and even though a size 6 is too big for me, I liked the color so much I will have them altered. The price and color were too good to pass on.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. comfortable, versitile pants

These pants were great for me (as others suggested, I ordered one size up). Other reviewers have complained about fabric sagging at the crotch, but I didn't experience this at all--maybe it's a benefit of carrying more weight in my hips & rear. The zipper is an "invisible zipper," a style that often is hard to move past fabric seams, and that problem is present in these pants--but with a bit of patience they're easy enough to zip up. The buttons on the bottom hem can tighten the leg opening, which is a nice touch (though I wish the buttons weren't a contrasting color--I may wind up replacing them with something that blends in a bit better).
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Cute, nice fabric, but strange fit
Reviewed by LizetteB from Saint Paul, MN on Thursday, July 23, 2015
Wanted to like these! Quality is good, nice details, great fabric, but I couldn't zip a 16 and I normally wear 12. Maybe okay in two sizes up for someone with slim hips, small thighs.
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Frumpy and sticky zip
Reviewed by Anonymous from Germany on Thursday, June 25, 2015
The crotch sags and the zipper sticks. Since the zip is on the side, it's impossible to zip past the waistband.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Frumpy
Reviewed by UpDownDog from Denver on Tuesday, June 23, 2015
I'd hoped for an artistic, flowy sort of fit, but they are very frumpy--lots of extra fabric sags at crotch area. They do run small, and are prone to shrinkage.

About Royal Robbins

By the late-1960s, veteran Yosemite rock climber Royal Robbins and his wife Liz had grown tired of wearing cutoff jeans on the crag. At the time, apparel designed specifically for outdoor adventure was virtually non-existent. After years of wishing for something better, the couple finally decided to create their own, starting with a pair of climbing shorts called the “Billy Goat.” This was the beginning of Royal Robbins’ clothing revolution. Today, nearly 50 years later, Royal Robbins outdoor clothing is as rugged and reliable as ever. When you buy a Royal Robbins sweater or shirt, or a Royal Robbins pair of pants or shorts, you can bet it will fit great, whether you’re climbing in the Sierra Nevadas, camping in the backcountry or relaxing in your own backyard.
