He wears them year round, from summer (80F) to winter (-20F). He wears them so much and for so many years that some (the thin striped ones) have holes in them. He still wears them and loves them! These particular SmartWool socks are very thick and chunky. We have bought different colors over the years. They tend to pill more than the thin striped ones, but we don't care.
