5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these shoes!Reviewed by working woman from Illinois on Friday, March 1, 2013This is the first shoe I've put on my foot, other than Ecco's, that fit great right out of the box. The width was perfect. The length was exactly right. My toes didn't feel crunched and the insoles were really supportive and well cushioned. The day they arrived we'd gotten several inches of wet, slushy snow but they stayed clean and kept my feet dry. I'm on my feet all day at work and chasing children, and my feet felt great after what is now day three of all day every day. Would recommend these to anyone who loves Ecco hiking shoes, but not the Ecco price tag.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Well made shoe, functionalReviewed by debbiker54 from Concord, ca on Friday, February 1, 2013I have some foot trouble as plantar fasciitis and ball of foot pain. I now have to wear study shoes with an over the counter footbed. I bought these shoes cause I walk the dogs on trails and wanted a sturdy shoe but not a hiking boot. I bought these for walking and light hiking.
This shoe is really well made, well stitched, well constructed, sturdy materials and the sole does not flex much and the heel is very supportive. It is also waterproof. The material comes up a little higher on the ankle, but not as far as a boot which offers more support. These were a great value as I got them during the winter sale, plus additional cost off from buying on the internet.
The color and style is not really fashionable or stylish, if that is a concern to you, I would pass on this shoe. They also run a little large, but I was afraid to order a size down for fear of being too tight, so I used the "Sole" footbed and thicker socks.
If you aren't concerned with appearance and want a sturdy, supportive, functional shoe, I would order them.
I am very happy with these shoes. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect for cold wether mountain biking!Verified Buyer Reviewed by kt colorado from Montrose, CO on Sunday, November 18, 2012I bought these boots mountain biking technical trails in cold and wet weather conditions. They performed great on slippery, rocky terrain and kept my feet dry and warm!
I know I'll be grabbing these boots for all my fall/winter/early spring trail rides! -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight, comfortable, great priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by K walker from Roy, WA on Monday, November 5, 2012I live out on forest land that was converted to a very large housing reserve. There are about 26 miles of gravel roads and dirt multi-use trails for recreation. I have had a few foot surgeries so I needed to give up running and go to walking to save me from more pain and surgeries. I have 2 large dogs that need to be exercised daily so I needed a super comfy stable shoe that I could wear in all types of weather, especially rain since I live in WA.state. I took a chance and ordered this shoe without ever hearing about the brand or trying one on, but it seemed to fit the bill for what I was looking for. The low price made it ok for me to take the risk. I ordered a 7.5 and they seem a bit long compared to my asics I wear in 7.5, but I tend to wear a bit thicker sock when walking or hiking so the extra length is not bad. Pleny of width for my slightly wide foot but not sloppy. They are made with Gore-tex so are supposed to be waterproof, but strangly I have not had to put that claim to the test yet. The sole of this shoe is a slight rocker shape so it is a very cushiony soft ride. So far I am very happy with my purchase and I hope they stand up to lots of miles of wet muddy walking. Perhaps consider a half size smaller than what you currently wear.

3.0 out of 5 stars. shade of a different colorVerified Buyer Reviewed by Gail from Williamstown, Ma on Monday, July 16, 2012For the right feet, this shoe felt like it would be an excellent trail shoe. For me, the 7 1/2, that is my usual size, was a bit too big, but with a heavy wool sock would fit fine. The cushion felt very good, but I wanted the shoe for warm weather as well. Then we had to really review the COLOR. Ugh. This brown was not a handsome shade and I wasn't sure I could get used to it. So, it was best I returned for a similar waterproof trail shoe that I could wear with a medium weight sock and a color that I could live with.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe for the priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by mls from Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday, April 12, 2012These shoes are great for the price. I use them to hike with my dog in a park with mixed terrain and a lot of hills. They fit high on the ankles and in the back so if you don't want a lot of support in the ankles you may not like this shoe. A good everyday walking / hiking shoe. They run true to size, I ordered a size up because another reviewer said they run small and I had to return them and order my true size so just keep tht in mind.
