- Pros: Comfort out of the box
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Off the beaten path from East Texas on Sunday, February 19, 2012Bought these to replace other boots. I'm on my feet alot and need the support and protection when outdoors. The ankle tops were stiff at first but broken in quickly, within a couple of hours. The vibram soles are great and what I wanted and needed. Overall, boots are very comfortable. I've been wearing them for about a month now. Don't know about how well the waterproofing is to speak to that but it was a great buy and I'm very happy with purchasing them.
- Best Uses: Casual, Hiking, Work
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Troubadour from Kenai, Alaska on Wednesday, January 25, 2012I originally bought these boots for winter snow shoeing, hiking etc. But quickly realized they are not winter hikers, not nearly warm enough. But everything else about them is optimum. And truthfully, they are not marketed for winter use. So they work perfectly.
- Best Uses: Hiking
- Pros: Comfortable, EXCELLENT TRACTION, Good stability, Leather uppers, Waterproof
Verified Buyer Reviewed by palomino from new tripoli, pa on Wednesday, January 25, 2012Bought these for my hard to find shoes for 21 yr old daughter. She wears a 5.5 and usually has a limited selection. Got a 6 and they have room for a thick hiking sock. Can't beat this price! As usual, STP was great!
- Best Uses: Casual, Hiking
- Pros: Rugged
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wandering but not lost from Catalina Island, CA on Friday, January 20, 2012i'm on the trail hiking at least once or twice a week so good boots are worth their weight in gold.
These boots did not require any break-in time and are comfortable and supportive on rocks and rough terrain. I have worn a pair of Tecnica all leather hiking boots, that I purchased from STP, for the last 6 years and had to finally retire them from my hiking, even though I still use them to work and walk in. I was trying to find another pair of the same style but alas no where to be found. From the online listing the Wenger hiking boot looked very similar so I thought I would give them a go. I am very happy with their performance and the price couldn't have been better.

“Do these run small or large? I'm a 7.5 to an 8 in shoes and I want to order the correct size. I would be wearing medium weight smartwool socks most of the time. Thank you.”
According to our fit models the Wenger Eiger Hiking Boots run true to size
I am typically a size 9 and that's what I ordered. The fit was good but roomy. If you are between sizes I would try the smaller.
I also wear 7.5 in most shoes but ordered a half-size up to account for thicker socks and extra room on downhills. The size 8's I received were just right.
