Reviewed by ipartner48 from Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, July 31, 2013Only just set it up and comparing specs with the North Face Mtn 2.5 four season that I have. The Wenger has 20% more interior space yet is lighter by 10 oz. More head room - 49" vs 41" and larger vestibules. Also has an insane amount of gear lofts and pockets. Poles are shorter by 3" so it will pack smaller as well. And then top it off with it being 50% cheaper - this tent definitely deserves attention. Haven't tested it in the field yet but by all indications, this tent is a winner!

Verified Buyer Reviewed by alex from everywhere, USA on Thursday, October 18, 2012I am doing a pre-review. I have not officially used the tent (it's still nearly 80 outside). I set it up to see it. It is certaily the most sturdy and tightly fitting tent that I have ever set up, and much tigher than the other tents I have owned. I do like the gear nets hanging from the top, and sides. One downside would be the second door. I feel like it is unnecessary, adding weight; the extra pole, and rainfly and zippers that accomodate it. I did like that the zippers go 360 around the door, so you can zip open any way you please. I think I will modify the zipper ends, so I can fully zip off the doors.
My first impression is that I would definitely trust it to withstand heavy winds, rain, hail, snow, no problem. This tent is sturdy, but by no means lightweight. Although I do not have a precise scale, I am assuming the weight includes the guy cords that were included to further secure it.
- Best Uses: Being Excessive, Winter Camping
- Cons: Lots Of Poles
- Pros: Freestanding, Made With Precision, Sturdy
