Verified Buyer Reviewed by SlipperQueen from East Coast on Monday, December 5, 2016Initially I didn't think I was going to like these. They do not fit snug and do not offer any support. After wearing them a few days and having them sort of mode to my foot, I'm enjoying them. They keep your feet nice and warm without being heavy and tight. I would purchase again. I hope they hold up well. At the price, if they last a year or two I can't complain.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Peninsula Woman from Washington on Sunday, October 16, 2016I had hoped that these boiled wool slides would be what I was looking for in a warm indoor slipper. Sadly, they were too wide, and slipped and slid off my feet. They might have worked had the material been thicker, but the thin wool just did not do the trick.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by CR from Minnesota on Thursday, September 15, 2016I love these slippers. Nice style and the blue is a nicer blue than pictured. Unfortunately, they are too small for me. I ordered a 38. I normally wear an 8. Should have ordered a 39. I'll give them away as it's not worth the money for postage to send them back.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Wray from New York on Saturday, September 10, 2016My husband and I both like a light slipper. These Wesenjak's fit the bill to perfection! This is my husband's second pair as the first pair were successful. Even though I didn't need slippers now, I also purchased a pair to keep in reserve. At Sierra Trading Post prices how could one go wrong! Notation: These slippers run small. I would order two sizes up.

I wash them - cold, gentle wash and air dry. It seems to make them return to the original size, not stretched out. Works for me.
-
I have washed them by hand using wool safe soap with lanolin. They take a while to dry. Do not put them in the washer. I tried that once and it didn't work out.
-
I don't know. The tag doesn't say..at least I don't know what the four symbols it has mean. They are all wool, with the sole being very thick(1/2 ") I guess I would try it in cold water and then hang them to dry (for a few days) so that the sole would dry though.
Sorry I can't help more. -
The tags don't give any washing instructions. They simply say that they are 100% wool. I think of wool as being something you dry clean, but maybe wool can be washed on a special cycle. Anyway- I highly recommend these slippers! And do order a size up.
-
I would not!
-
I have not yet tried but when I do, I will hand wash them and let them air dry. They are very well made and cannot see how they would shrink unless you put them in a heated dryer. I absolutely love them, wish I had bought 2 pair!
-
Yes! They wash very well. I don't put them in the dryer, although I imagine you could.
-
I haven't washed mine yet, but would hand wash using woolite or some baby detergent and dry outside. I think you could also use so e kind of shampoo made for upholstered furniture. Hope this helps. I love these slippers.
-
No. The bottoms get kind of "gunky" and sticky. Spot wash is fine though. They don't harbor smells, and because they are wool, ventilate naturally.

These run true to Metric sizing.

If you hover over the "Sizes Available" with your mouse, a tap will appear and provide you with the correct numeric sizing. I hope this helps.
-
For me, the 41 Euro size corresponds with U.S. Women's 9 for my footwear.

If you hover over the "Sizes Available" with your mouse, a tap will appear and provide you with the correct numeric sizing. 41 (US: M Size 9, F 10) or 40 (US: M Size 8, F 9) should work for you depending on your sex. Have a great day
-
There are size conversion charts on the website. It matters whether you are talking men's or women's size 9. These slippers seem to run true to size, but they slip off (my feet) easily, unless I have on socks. Hope that helps....

No padding at all. And I felt like they would slide out from under me. I would not recommend them. For my 88-year-old mother-in-law I have gotten Acorn slippers with velcro straps (good for swollen feet) and teva-like sandals for summer. They have a rubber sole, but she loves them.
-
These really are very comfortable and loose around the foot. very roomy and no constricting elastic. they are a very 'soft' slipper. true to how one imagines a slipper, not a lot of structure. the bottoms are the same boiled wool as the rest of the construction. they slide nicely, but at the same time don't feel un-secure on a wood floor. hope this helps. i am really happy with these slippers.
-
These are slides with no elastic, but they stretch well with wear; they seem to mold to the foot. Also, they definitely would help in the scooting capacity. The sole is about 5/8 inch, so it is padded without being bulky. I love mine so well that I ordered another pair.
-
The slipper bed is lightly cushioned (think four layers of a wool blanket, stacked). The slippers can be extremely slippery, depending on the flooring. They are fine on my commercial grade carpeting, but rather slippery on the laminate. I would not buy them for my 80-something-year-old grandmother because of the lack of cushioning, lack of arch support, and slipping hazard. The elastic is not constricting at all on my foot (not like the "ballet"-style slippers from I*toner).
-
They are nicely padded, and the elastic is not tight or restrictive.
-
The padding on the bottom of the slipper is adequate. Too much might make it (and her) wobbly. I did not find the elastic too tight at all barefooted or with medium heavy wool sox.
