Not thick enough or stiff enough

I had used boiled wool slippers in Switzerland as we didn't wear shoes in the house there. The wool was thick and, being stiff, held its shape. I saw these Wesenjak slippers listed and, considering the original price, I imagined them to be the same as was produced in Switzerland. I was rather disappointed. The wool is not stiff and, being rather thin, they do not retain their shape. For me, not all colors available were attractive, but I was able to get them in a green which does appeal to me. I use these Wesenjak slippers for the same purpose as I did in Switzerland and, if I wear thick woollen socks, they adequately keep my feet warm during our very cold winter mornings. Naturally, as I do not use them for extensive walking, but only in the house, and as I got them at a very good discounted price, I am satisfied. With reservation I would recommend them.
