The pillow is very fluffy and took my dogs sometime to squash it enough that it wasn't catapaulting them back out of it. I have two 40 pound border collies who are taking turns fighting over it. They love to curl up in a tight ball and this bed is the perfect size for them. I thought it would be way too big, but it turned out to be just right.

He is a good natured, entergetic lab/boxer mixed breed rescue. He has either eaten or abhorred all previous beds. After just a small bit of coaxing and orientation, he plopped righ in and slept all night. He goes to it without any problem and sleeps the night away, or even for his afternoon naps. Our dog is tall, lanky and 70 pounds. I was concerned that the large might be too small, but it is perfect...plenty of room to spare. Highly recommend this dog bed, and great for traveling.

A medium might have been a better choice. The center is a loose pillow with a removable/washable cover. Though the edges tuck under the bumper, my dog rearranges it.

Very sturdy fabric (the last bed had rips in it after a month or so and she has now been using this one for over a month with no tears or rips). Easily vacuums clean. Plus made in the US of recycled materials. Highly recommended.

It's soft, cuddly, and pulls apart easily for washing. The cotton is a sturdy 'denim' cotton weave. We would buy another in a heart beat!

They are comfy, but my dog tears through them with just regular use in no time. I've had one of these for years, and though it's developed some small holes, the cloth and color has held up better than any other bed. mine was organic cotton - not sure if these are. The fill does wear with time (4+ years on mine), like any fill. I replaced the center fill cushion with a high-quality foam, and will make another pillow for the top so my arthritic dog has lots of support. Overall, great bed.
