My five year old son loves these boots and it appears they are well made and will last through some serious outdoor play time. Our winters are wet but not too cold. I needed something that would keep him dry and warm, but not too hot. When it's 40 degrees here, we think we're experiencing an arctic front, because we rarely have cold weather. My son has yet to complain that he's too hot or cold while wearing these boots. WARNING: IF the pull-up straps are a necessity for you, this is not your product. My son wore them to school once, and the straps were gone. He is kinda a beast. We sometimes call him "wrecking ball" but in reality, his strength is not exceptional. It is likely that he was fidgeting with them all day. Either way, he can get them on and off just fine without the straps and the boots still look very nice without them. Would definitely recommend.
