I, like many, was very skeptical about the rubber sole wading boot and not having the same traction on slippery rocks as felt soled boots. The eco friendly sole and price was a huge decisive factor in purchasing these boots- and.. I am more than impressed. I have only used these twice and they seem to very comfortable while hiking to my fishing spots- they are light- and have plenty of traction while descending or ascending steep creek banks. When it came down to standing on an slippery rock - I felt very confident and was not slipping/ splashing around. so.. lightweight, great traction in and out of the water, and comfortable sole = win.

  • “I could find no information on sizing for wading boots (your sizing page link doesn't have that info). Do we buy our shoe size, or go up by some amount to accommodate the waders?”

About Wetfly

Born of a passion for fly fishing, nurtured by inspiration and innovation, and focused on a commitment to quality and success on the water, Wetfly has risen like a Yellowstone Cutthroat to a place of prominence in the fly fishing industry. Founded in 1999, Wetfly presents world renowned flies tied by partner Craig Black, who has been tying quality flies worldwide for more than 35 years. Craig learned the craft from his dad, Dennis, the original founder of Umpqua, and started some of the first fly-tying factories in Thailand in the '70s. He continues to direct the production of top quality, hand-tied flies for Wetfly.
