Great Fitting Rain Pants
Reviewed by Belong58 from Michigan on Tuesday, May 28, 2013
I ordered a size large in these rain pants in the hope that I would be able to layer warmer pants underneath. I love the way they fit! They ride just slightly below the waist, which is a rare find. I am 5'8" and 135lbs and these pants are a bit long, but not so much that I can't just turn them up a ... Read More

  • great rain pants
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Marshall from Colorado on Monday, July 16, 2018
These are light weight, and have taped seals and pockets. I'm a medium and think i'll be able to wear them over something less bulky like tights; probably not over jeans. Also - these seem more for sitting around at a camp site than for active sports I think.

They are a great fit, and long enough. Only thing is the waistband is very tight and can't be loosened. They still work for me. These are my waterproof pants for the Himalayas!
  • Not waterproof
Reviewed by CedarGirl from Seattle on Thursday, April 26, 2018
I used these on a 4-day hiking trip to Olympic Peninsula where it rained heavily for at half of the time. I and my friend both wore these pants and we both got wet. The pants were rainproof for just first half of the day. Useful just for light/medium rain and not for hiking or backpacking in rainy conditions.
  • Light-weight

I needed pants that could stand up to rough use and these were a bit too light-weight to suit my needs.

So far, so good. The real test will be in Ireland this June...hope it keeps me dry! Size was accurate.

  • “What is the waterproof rating for these pants”
Asked by Lindsey from Baltimore, MD on 3/4/2016 8:19:33 PM
    • I can't answer that. They are nice lightweight pants, the only drawback being that there is no accommodation for opening the ankle wider to get them over shoes or boots.I have only used them in moderate rain.Nice and dry. They pack down amazingly small and light. For serious rain,I have a cycling raincoat with pit zips by Showers Pass. The sturdiness of these pants is nothing like my Showers Pass jacket. But I wouldn't take a Showers Pass jacket backpacking-too bulky.

    • There is not a waterproof rating listed on this item.

    • I guess it would depend on how big your boots are. Honestly I haven't tried that. You might want to order a pair and investigate that issue.

    • I cannot answer that question as I have not worn the pants yet except to try them on.
Answered on 2/14/2016 9:44:56 AM by Emergency lady from California
    • No,you wouldn't be able to do that. They will accommodate your boots well at the ankle, but unfortunately you would have to remove your boots to put these pants on and off.

    • No, I do not think so although I did not try it. I do not like this pair of pants much since I do not like the material...

  • “Adjustable pant length is how long when lengthened?”
Asked by Sarah from Vancouver BC on 12/30/2015 12:12:11 PM
    • I have the WS Tarragon Rain Pants, but there isn't really an adjustment to the length. The best I can tell you is the outside seam is 39", and the inseam is 31". The only adjustment to these pants is the waistband, and the ankle/cuff opening. These pants are
great for wind and rain protection.

    • Not sure about the choices you mention. Maybe call customer service.

    • I have these pants, and I recall they only came in black when I ordered them, so I think it may be an error. I suggest you call them and place your order over the phone or get clarification from the store. NOTE: These pants are not breathable, so expect to use them only in cold weather or expect to sweat underneath! However, they ARE waterproof, light and packable.
