Waterproof, but a little warm to wear.

Not exactly what I expected but that was my fault since I have not had any experience with waterproof clothing before. They were a little warm to wear and as a result they made my legs perspire because they were not very breathable. However, they did their job when there was a light rain. Knowing this, I would recommend them to someone who did not expect heavy rain. I'm not sure how they would hold up.
