Nice Rain Pants

I haven't gotten the chance to use these in the rain yet, so I can't attest to their waterproofness, but they are better than I imagined they would be for the price. They have a snap at the bottom to widen the pant leg to enable you to pull them on with your boots on (AMAZING--Didn't realize they had this feature when I orderd). I just wanted a pair of lightweight waterproof pants for hiking the AT, in case there was a downpour. The pant's pocket also has a zipper, which I really like because the pants are a little baggy and items in the pockets might not have been super secure without the zipper. Also, this will hopefully keep the rain away from whatever I stash in the pocket.

That said, I am 5'3, 112lbs, and the smallest size is still pretty large on me. I typically wear a size 3-4 pant. Baggy and lengthy, and the crotch is a little long--- BUT I prefer a little baggy because it enables me to yank these over my hiking boots. But they don't drag the ground when you reclasp the button on the bottom of the pants---short people know how frustrating that can be. They might drag with typical shoes though vs. boots. The elastic waist allows me to pull the waist high enough to reduce some of the length, which is probably how they were intended to be worn...i'm 25 and typically don't wear my pants that high, but I don't mind with a rain pant as it will keep water out of my bottom layers. They don't feel like they will breathe well, but I'm not too concerned about that as long as they keep me dry. For the price, I expected there would be limitations.

I will update this review when I get a chance to use them in the field. They seem great for the price. I looked around prior to buying these and they are a really good deal compared to other products around the same price point.
