Verified Buyer Reviewed by Valeriana from New York on Saturday, November 1, 2014I bought the medium size and I can wear a sweater underneath it. It is pocketable so I keep it my backpack all of the time. I liked that it has Velcro at the end of the sleeves so you can adjust its tightness and keep the cold from getting through. Good deal from Sierra Trading Post!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Triple Nickle from Atlanta, GA on Monday, June 30, 2014For the whopping 13 bucks I paid for this jacket,
It turned out to be awesome. This jacket has it all: wind/ rain resistant, Velcro tab cuffs, zippered hand pockets,
Attached hood that rolls into the collar and it packs up into an
Easy to carry little pouch. Perfect for summertime!!
Reviewed by Cape Cod mom from Massachusetts on Saturday, January 18, 2014The colors for this jacket were beautiful (I got the sapphire, which was a light lavender-blue color) and the fabric is delightfully soft. It would be ideal for travel or backpacking because it packs down small. I like that it is windproof and also water-repellent. I bought it as a gift for my sister and she liked it, loving the color and the softness. The jacket seems to run true to size.
Reviewed by Seamtress from AL on Friday, January 17, 2014I ordered two of these light wind-breaker jackets for warm weather use thinking that they would be perfect. The fabric is perfect and the jackets were well-constructed except for one serious problem. Both of them had center seam zippers installed which had been sewn in place too far from the zipper threads. The end result of this sewing mistake is that fabric overlies the zipper threads and gets easily caught into the zipper when one tries to use it. If one doesn't mind getting stuck in the jacket every time that you try to use the zipper this jacket is a good bet. Returned both of them for defective sewing.

“So the sizing in the chart says that an XL is a size 18, but the size above near the product says XL is a size 16.
Which is correct?”
The White Sierra size chart under sizing tab I see is showing the XL as 16 which is matching the sizes above. We may have had a general chart posted when you viewed this. The XL is a size 16.
“Does this jacket have armpit vents? I have another White Sierra jacket that has zippers in the pits and I'd like another one like that.||Also, is it at all rain resistant?||Thanks!”
The White Sierra Paradise Cove Wind Jacket does not have pit-zips. The jacket will be able to repel a very light rain, but not much more then that. Thanks for asking.
“The product description says the jacket is "water repellant". Has anyone used this in the rain, and if so, what were the circumstances (were you hiking with a pack on, were you standing at a bus stop, etc)?||Would you rely on this jacket as a rain jacket?||Thanks!”
Unfortunately its not the best option for a rain jacket. "Water repellent" means that the jacket will shed a light rain, but is not waterproof.
