“Husband going on mission trip to Alaska in March. He was told to plan for -20 to -40 degrees. We're from the "South" so we can't even imagine this temperature. He may or maynot be outside a lot but is not sure what he'll be doing. Will wear over jeans and thermal underwear. Could these bib pants be enough to keep his legs relatively warm? Hate to buy too much ultra cold weather clothing since he may never wear it again.”
Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you. This item is designed to be used as a layering piece. I would not recommend jeans but perhaps a more insulating layer that if it gets wet it will dry quickly.
