So far these pants have been great. They kept me warm at -25 degrees, and have proven so far totally water proof even when I spilled water from a bucket on them. I was a little worried they would be too short for the 32" inseam I wear a 34" pant but they fit just right and the elastic inner cover ke... Read More

I bought these to be used as a backup pair of snow pants mostly to keep in my car during the winter in case of emergencies and that seems to be about all they will be good for. They seem to be pretty low quality snow pants the material is is pretty thin I believe it would tear easily and I don't know if I trust that they are actually waterproof. They fit fine and I suppose they would work for low level activities like shoveling a small driveway or short periods of time playing in the snow with the kids in the winter but I would not trust them for any down and dirty jobs that would keep me out in the cold far from a warm building for long periods of time or for full days out on the slopes.

I was looking for something not as bulky. I do like the warmth they provide and sizing is good, I just wanted a less bulky pant.

on a 6foot for man, and for the price, these fit great. loose yet that is fine if wearing an additional insulating layer inside. dissapointed that it didn't have a built in cincher that many pants have. must wear a belt if you get these if you find these too big. look a bit baggy, but for the price, totally worth it!

    • I bought size L and it fit pretty well, I'm size 36 / 30 and it's good for short layers like termals and jeans.
      Hope this helps.

    • Hi, Rob,
Size Medium will have room for layering. That's the size I got and am glad I did. I've worn them over jeans, or jeans and longies, or just longies, or sweats, or sweats and longies. They aren't a skinny tight fit, as you can tell, but still look nice with that little bit of extra room....not boxy. I'm a women's size 8 / 10 and in men's have a 32-34" waist and 32-33" inseam, and am 5'10" tall. The waist might be a tiny bit roomy, but there are wide belt loops or you could take it in. I find the cut of the pants stay up without a belt and allow movement at the same time. Sweater could be tucked in if necessary and the extra bit at the waist makes layering comfy. The waist is flat fronted but has 2 1/2" wide elastic from each side and across the back. The elastic in the casing is stitched in rows so it won't roll. The outer overall length might be a tiny bit long but you could turn under the hem. There is an inner "gater" with a grip elastic so that can be put anywhere under / over a boot.
      Hope this helps you!

    • I ordered the medium, which is a 32 waist and about a 33/34 length. I tend to wear them down on my hips so these work perfect for me. For reference, I am 5'10" with a 35" inseam. If you wear them on your waist they should fit but maybe be a little long. With boots its won't matter.

    • My 12 year old son is 5'4". He wears a 31-32 x 31-32 without stepping on his pants. I bought a medium and he wears jeans under the snow pants to walk to the bus stop. It's not too tight in the waist layered and he has no problems with the pant leg openings. So I'm guessing a medium for you depending on how much you are layering and how much of an air pocket you want between layers to stay warm. If you are just wearing a silk later combined with a fleese under the snow pants I would go with medium. He is happy with that size.

    • Depending on whether or not he is planning on layering or whether he prefers his clothes to fit tighter or looser is what should determine which size you choose for waist. For the inseam this item is only available in 30 and 32, I would suggest 30.

    • I'm not a skier however the pants do have a velcro flap on the bottom to open them up.
They should fit over ski boots but I can't be sure.
