Great jacket, great value

I'd been looking for a lightweight packable rain jacket to replace my old one; this caught my eye because of the great color (the vibrant blue), the positive reviews, and the price.

Love it - the blue, the features, the fit, the construction, the fact that it's packable. Although I haven't worn it yet in super-downpour conditions, it's kept me dry during shorter spurts of light rain; the way the water beads up & rolls right off the jacket, I'm confident it'll do what it's supposed to in wetter conditions. Also, it's breathable enough to use as a windbreaker (even on days when the wind is persistent but the temperature is high).

The only thing I'd change is the velcro on the flap that covers the zipper. Maybe snaps would have been better. Even though the "grabbier" pieces of velcro are on the bottom flap (which faces away from the body of the person wearing the jacket), I still get nervous that if I don't zip it up (thus leaving all of the velcro bits exposed), it might fold over and snag on whatever shirt I'm wearing underneath. Since I frequently wear shirts that are designed for hiking/fitness & often are made of a technical fabric with the "grid construction", I've had problems in the past with velcro getting caught and pulling on the material. So far, though, I haven't had any issues with this jacket.

For the price & the features, I'd recommend this jacket!
