Most Helpful 5-Star Review
However, the waist seems undersized on these pants, it was very small and tight.
I tried them on with nothing else underneath, and even then, way too small in the waist.
The rest of the garment was ample an... Read More

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trish the tiger-mom from North Carolina on Sunday, June 5, 2016I bought these for my son prior to a 16 day paddling/rafting trip in Utah. These rain pants are incredibly light and hydrophobic and at this price, you can't go wrong! If you are waffling or on the fence about purchasing these rain pants...just buy them. You won't regret it!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Blondie from the Finger Lakes from Honeoye Falls, NY on Monday, April 18, 2016Bought these for the hubby for his hiking pursuits. The pants are light in weight and packable. Legs have a gusset to fit on/over boots that can be secured which is a nice bonus.
Reviewed by Ash from So Cal on Thursday, March 24, 20165 9 165, most mediums tend to fit well, length as good, waist a little small. Picked these up for backpacking as they are very lightweight, however, have found when backpacking that water was getting inside my backside, wetting out the crotch and getting a rash. Perhaps my pack was pushing water through...this is the only pair of waterproof pants I've used, so not sure if it's normal. Not particularly breathable. I still pack them on every trip in case of rain and wear that at home when it's raining.

Question & Answer
Questions about this product? Get answers from community and staff experts.
“Are these meant just for wicking away rain? How will they hold up for hiking through (knee deep) water?”
“Can you show me the detail waterproof rating value and the water vapor transmission value g/m2?24hr?”
I cannot in detail. I only know that that small of a rating means the porosity is very small.....hence, the water proving is very good.
No, but I wore them yesterday hiking in moderate rainfall in the Whites (Pemigewasset wilderness) and was dry as a bone.
“My waist is 38" and these will always be worn over other pants or shorts. Will the L (36-38") work or will I need to move up to the XL?”
L(36-38") will most probably work for the waist 38.
“Are the leg holes large enough to make it easy to pull these on/off over shoes (or are there zippers at the bottom)?”
No, they do not go over boots well as they have no zippers in them.
