Nice Boots
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Patti from Colorado on Tuesday, December 29, 2015
Hard to find boots for 3 pin bindings. These boots are comfortable, lightweight. They are much more supportive and stable than my previous boots. I have only had one outing so far and they were great. I did order one full US size larger than my usual. I wear a womens US size 9 and the US size 1... Read More

Size seems to runs small. I usually wear a 10.5 and sometime can wear a 10, but had to exchange for the next size up. Havnt had them long, but seem like a great product for the price!

I purchased these boots when my old 3 hole ski boots fell apart this month. Without really even trying them on I took them with me and skied all day. The size is perfect the fit is comfortable they are warm and I even wear one extra pair of thin wool socks but I didn't need them. The bindings were little tight but after a day of skiing they worm or broken in and fitting better Into The Binding. Great purchase
  • Best Boots!!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mandi from Michigan on Wednesday, February 21, 2018
I ordered a 10, I normally wear an 8. I probably could have gone with a 9 or 9.5. I put in a set of dr scholls inserts and they fit like a glove. Even without the inserts I wasn't having a problem because they are able to be laced so tight. The boots are very light weight, warm, and comfy!! I would like a pair just for winter hiking!! I wish I would have bought these years ago!! They make cross country skiing so much more enjoyable. Hands down would buy again!
  • Last of 3 pin boots.

It's nice to find 3 pin boots still. These boots are warm, but the tongue is not the very best for keeping snow out.

  • “I have your brand of boot and have used them for several years. This past year the sole split (the rubber from the plastic). it stayed together by only the 3 hole tongue. Do you know what type of plastic material is used on the bottom. I want to try Gorilla glue but it does not cover all types of plastic.
    Thanks for your input. ”

    • Even though I have a pair of these boots (and certainly hope the same thing doesn't happen to mine) I have no idea what type of plastic the sole is made from. Sorry.

    • We do not have that information as we are only a retail store. We suggest contacting the manufacturer.

  • “Can anyone tell me what the thickness of the front rubber toe of the boots are? I bought new 3 pin bindings & found that I cannot close the bindings over the toe of the Karhu boots I have because the rubber toe of the boots are too thick (11/16 inch).”
Asked by Bob from Colorado on 1/21/2018 11:29:19 AM
    • Just measured the pair I bought -- 1/2" So far they have worked well with 3 different 3-pin bindings.

    • The toe on my boots are slightly less than 1/2", slightly more than 7/16".

    • The toe plate is 1/2" thick, comparable to most older backcountry boots, so you should be OK with closing the bindings on these boots.
