FITS THE BILL!
Reviewed by kdschreck from Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday, January 29, 2014
While this is my first venture into owning cross country equipment, I could not be happier with the performance of this set. I have only skiied twice so far, and had to "break trail" both times. Knowing that I would be doing mostly "back country" skiing, I selected this set for the fact that the s... Read More

  • Poorly packed, so cracked
Verified Buyer Reviewed by nycjem from New York, NY on Monday, April 16, 2018
They were not packed properly, just loose in a box, so the poles arrived cracked. Customer servcie said i would have to retrun both skis and the poles even tho the skis were fine
  • Slippery ski

Just gave these a go, and skis slipped back in kicking motion on very small uphill pitch. They aren’t grabbing snow.
  • Grip is very minimal
Reviewed by TrailsNH from Goffstown NH on Tuesday, April 3, 2018
For use on trails with hills, I do not recommend Whitewoods XC skis. They might be fine on flat courses, I don't know. The gills are cut into the base, not molded, and do not stick out at all. So the grip is very minimal. When skiing with a friend we swapped skis. I went from Rossignol to Whitewood and felt like I had almost no bite on the snow at all. They were very challenging, and I've XC skied for 40 years. Whitewoods XC skiis have less bite than any ski I have *ever* tried.
  • Perfect for price

No complaints. 5'10" and bought the 170s. Very excited for the rest of the season!
  • Miss fired

The ski's delivered were shorter (165) rather than the ones requested (196) on the site. The metal edges showed rust signs and weren't sharp. Other than that the skies and bindings were well made. The poles could have been good if they also weren't so short!.. The baskets are also a joke. Lost both sets when I when to the local park (the snow was about 1 ft deep) to try the ski's, They came off way too easily as they would not click (lock) into place, so now the poles are only good for hiking. Tried several Nordic stores for replacements and no one had heard of Whitewoods let alone could provide a replacement basket that would fit.
