Perhaps too much

I confess I'm a beginner xc skier. I chose these skis because I live near a river that freezes over, and I thought the wider style with metal edges (not fully metal btw) would work well on top of snowmobile tracks. However, compared to the Whitewoods Crosstour skis (slightly longer and narrower), they don't track as well in shallow snow--they move laterally a lot.

What I do like is that they're stiff, and glide very well (190's for a 6' tall 180# guy), yet provide enough bite to propel yourself. If anything I wish they had a little deeper scales to bite better in powdery snow. The snow here is not ideal right now (powder on crusted snow), so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Skis are lightweight, but feel and appear to be well-constructed.

Another minor complaint is that the poles that come with these do not have big enough baskets for touring skis.
