Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dean from NYC on Wednesday, April 19, 2017Perfect for my need to carry gear/fly boxes/tippet/water while I am surf casting a fly rod.
Reviewed by Beadchaser from California on Tuesday, January 17, 2017Pros: Nice bottle holders. Stitching seems good. Haven't taken it out on the water yet.
Cons: top handle is poorly designed b/c it digs into your back. It's a really TALL pack. When on my waist, it touches my shoulder blades! It's built for giants... My stomach is nowhere near flat, I wear medium sizes, and I've got this thing cinched all the way down. This causes the side pockets to be bent and render them useless for anything except things that also bend. Haven't tried it as a shoulder bag yet. Maybe with waders / jacket / core layer it will be better. It's disappointing. I had high hopes for it. My 6'2" spouse states that I should mention my height - I'm 5'3".
Reviewed by Richard from Socal from San Diego on Wednesday, November 6, 2013For me, this product works equally as well as a sling bag. Chest packs tend to get in my way when casting from a pontoon boat, so I like to sling it over my shoulder. This bag is big and roomy, great for saltwater use. The bag has a roomy mesh pocket on the inside for loose items. The bag is plenty roomy for a couple of big saltwater fly boxes. Well constructed and the material is durable.
Reviewed by mttrout75 from Montana on Wednesday, August 28, 2013Well made & perfectly padded. Could use more small spaces, but the large ones are nice for big boxes.
