  • Not built for small or medium people :(
Reviewed by Beadchaser from California on Tuesday, January 17, 2017
Pros: Nice bottle holders. Stitching seems good. Haven't taken it out on the water yet.
Cons: top handle is poorly designed b/c it digs into your back. It's a really TALL pack. When on my waist, it touches my shoulder blades! It's built for giants... My stomach is nowhere near flat, I wear medium sizes, and I've got this thing cinched all the way down. This causes the side pockets to be bent and render them useless for anything except things that also bend. Haven't tried it as a shoulder bag yet. Maybe with waders / jacket / core layer it will be better. It's disappointing. I had high hopes for it. My 6'2" spouse states that I should mention my height - I'm 5'3".
  • Jumbo Chest Pack
Reviewed by Richard from Socal from San Diego on Wednesday, November 6, 2013
For me, this product works equally as well as a sling bag. Chest packs tend to get in my way when casting from a pontoon boat, so I like to sling it over my shoulder. This bag is big and roomy, great for saltwater use. The bag has a roomy mesh pocket on the inside for loose items. The bag is plenty roomy for a couple of big saltwater fly boxes. Well constructed and the material is durable.
  • Very Nice!

Well made & perfectly padded. Could use more small spaces, but the large ones are nice for big boxes.

  • “I'm considering this for fly fishing in the mountains. Is there a place I could hang my net anywhere?”

About William Joseph

Located near the Wasatch mountains in Utah, William Joseph started out by making advanced, high-quality packs for mountaineering. The fishing angle (pardon the pun) came about by accident when everyone realized customers were hauling more fishing gear in these packs than they were climbing gear. So William Joseph surrendered to this apparent market need and narrowed the focus to fly-fishing equipment. Today anglers around the world are discovering the superlative quality and practical engineering of William Joseph's fly fishing packs, tools, accessories and apparel. You don't have to fish to love this ingeniously designed product line. You just have to love the outdoors.
