Verified Buyer Reviewed by ranch girl from california on Tuesday, September 13, 2016I have a great pair of Keen's work boots that are a touch too tight so I decided to get another pair and these will be great for winter work. They are too hot for our NorCal summers but moving up 1/2 size really is nice. My Keen's have vents which makes them MUCH cooler than these but I'll definitely use these boots in the winter.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Denise from Grand Rapids on Saturday, May 21, 2016Absolutely love these boots... Needed a new pair of work boots for the yard/garden... my last ones, hurt my feet, so order these in my normal size 7. I'm usually a 6 1/2 or 7. Toes hit the end so immediately order a 7 1/2.. Never wear this size... But they are perfect. Can work for hours, no issues. Also easy to squat, bend, secure on hill, leaves etc.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fleeceadore from Wyoming on Tuesday, May 17, 2016These boots are really nice. They had everything I wanted, soft leather, waterproof, sturdy sole, padding at the collar and tongue, cushioning in the footbed. However, when I walked around the house with them they seemed to battle against me and I couldn't get comfortable. The cushioning was good, but it was the excessive padding in the tongue and collar. Here initially I thought finally a manufacturer that isn't skimping on the padding! Maybe over time that would wear down, however I returned my boots and didn't want to take a chance. I ordered 1/2 size up and when they arrived they were the perfect length. I took the removable footbed out and compared it to a 1/2 size down footbed I had and it matched perfectly. Really terrifically made boot, I just couldn't get them tight enough with all the padding at the top of the boot and it affected my stride. Reminded me of those board shoes that teenagers wear and don't lace them up.

Reviewed by Alan from California on Friday, April 22, 2016Nice, but the boots are at least a half size small. Have previously tried on several boots that were true to size.

“I normally wear a size 7. My last Wolverine boots were a size 7.5. Should I still order a size 7.5? Thanks. ”
Yes, I normally wear a 7... never have worn a 7 1/2... First ordered 7, too small... then ordered 7.5 ,,, perfect.. Love these boots.
I think thats what I would do and did except, I normally wear a size 9 and ordered a 9.5 and they fit perfect. I think you'll be safe ordering one half size up. However, if your foot is even slightly wide I would go with the wider width. I have narrow feet and they weren't overly roomy on the one foot that I have a bunion. The other foot though was perfect. Hope this helps.
They seem to be reasonably well constructed. Good enough for hiking. A bit light duty for carrying a full pack though.
You could hike in these if you wanted to.
“What is the European size for size 9? 39.5 or 40 for this shoe. Nike size 9 sneaks fit me perfectly. Would 8.5 or 9 be the correct size?
According to the Wolverine size chart size US 9 is equivalent to size EU 40.
