This heavier-weight wool shirt is warm, fits well and looks good. I use it as an overshirt, The quality is excellent, as expected for Woolrich clothing.

  • Great 100% wool shirt

I have a few wool plaid shirts and this is my favorite. I like it better than my Pendleton Board Shirts because it fits my 6'02" 225 lbs frame better and has reinforced stitching at the pocket openings which the Pendletons lack. I have long arms and have to order my Pendletons xl tall to get the sleeve length I need but have to get the bottoms hemmed because they are ridiculously long. The Woolrich Bering shirt is great shirt for me!

  • Perfect, Except for Sleeves

Notice that the model is wearing the sleeves rolled up in the photo. There is a good reason for this. The fabric, color, comfort, and body fit are just perfect for me in my size. It's a warm and well made shirt. But the sleeves are the equivalent of a cuff length too long. If I button the cuffs and then turn them back the fit is perfect. But that is not really how the shirt should be worn. I considered sending it back for a size smaller, but I'm afraid of getting a shirt that is too snug just to have the right sleeve length. Besides, I think these sleeves are more than one size too long. I am hoping they will draw up a bit after the first washing. Other than the sleeves, I love this shirt and would buy more of them. With proper sleeve length I'd give it five stars.

Have never been disappointed by a Woolrich product whether purchased new or used. This shirt is where they started,... wool. Warm, soft - not scratchy, once back on hanger it falls back into perfect shape. Do like the feel of its weight. Some don't. Especially like how it fits in cool weather layering. Looks good as outermost layer and works well (holds heat, lets moisture out) as inner layer.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
