Can't beat this price on Merino!

...my fifth (sixth?) pair and hard to beat at STP's price! These should last me for a couple of years if not more!
I prefer Merino boxer briefs, but really can't feel the difference.

  • Nice at first and great price, but..

These are "just ok". I have *multiple* pairs, but they are just not holding up after a short time; I'm seeing holes in them way too soon! Maybe if they were hand washed instead of machine washed (gentle cycle) they would hold up longer????
  • Nice wool; Lack leg elastic/support

I'm a fan of merino wool underwear and as is typical of Woolrich, this is a quality fabric. However, after wearing them for only a few hours, I realized that things were sagging and support was missing. My quick analysis indicates that the elastic in the leg openings is either missing or it is minimally operative. The reason i wear briefs is for support--and these just don't provide it. Returned unopened packages.
  • Very Poor Quality Materials

Beware of these Woolrich mens briefs - the elastic in the legs is probably the worst I have ever encountered. After wearing one time and washing on a cold setting at home and then LINE DRYING them I found the elastic to be shot with very little or no “recovery”. What a shock especially since I own many Woolrich products and really respect their label as one that signifies quality components. I am fairly athletic but careful with my clothing especially when putting them thru the washing machine. I am 6 ft tall and weigh 188 lbs so my upper legs are not huge like a weight lifter’s - the waist band is obviously made of better elastic and did not loose it’s stretching qualities during one use. I’m angry about this miserable product but will not pay the STP return cost just to get a modest credit. Avoid these and buy ExOfficio or one of the other popular brands - they haven’t cheapened their products like Woolrich did on these wool skivvies. Bad experience!
  • Ok

Pros: material really comfortable. Seems really good quality as well.

Cons: the cut is odd for me. Some riding up happens during the day that while not a deal breaker sure isn't the most comfortable.

Glad I got a good deal to try them out. But not sure I'd buy more.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
