The construction and style of this boot were exceptional, but when I put my 8.5 foot in the 8.5 boot I had to check to see if there was a wad of paper in the toe, as there sometimes is. I love the way these boots look and can't wait to wear them. Only, I haven't been able to get them on my feet yet. That's because the ankle portion is relatively tight and doesn't have a lot of give, so fitting one's ankle/heel into that space is quite a challenge. I did try a shoehorn, with no success. I'm going to go to CVS and get those really slippery nylon socks and see if that does the trick. I really want to wear these boots!

There was not. I wanted to exchange for a larger size, but Sierra doesn't do that and I would have had to pay $20 more to order the same boot again. I should have done it because the larger size sold out within 24 hours and I missed out.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
