It's the first soft shell jacket I own. I never wanted a soft shell, but couldn't resist the price and the style.
When the jacket arrived, I was delighted to find how much I like it. It's not as stiff as many of the soft shell jackets (though it's not fleece soft), and the fleece on the inside of the jacket makes it very comfortable to wear.

    Great style.

I bought this jacket in black for myself and I love it. It is waterproof and warm enough for milder winter days, which we are having lots of so it has been my main jacket lately. I also love a jacket with a hood for rainy days. I bought XL and have plenty of room for layering. My daughter liked mine so much, I bought her one in red, which is really pretty. We both get lots of compliments about them. I would definitely recommend.

Love the loden color and the contrast with the toggles, the coat has the easy drape I like for purposes of light layering

I sized up on this just for layering comfort -- with the upsize it is not overwhelming or unattractive

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
