Generally Woolrich bottoms fit me well. These were large in the waist and lower cut than I expected. Sierra can we have an indication of where the waist band lands on the waist. There is a nice description of different waist locations in you sizing but not on the product description.

At last a pair of shorts! The length is above the knee, not too long and not too short. There is no spandex, so these shorts do not stretch and fall off. I have ordered a second pair.

Wow. These shorts are so well done in finish and material. It feels like it was custom made for me. I like the length, which is just above my knee. I bought a size 14 R, and I am 5’1”, full figured, with muscular legs and very active. It was 80 degrees today when I wore the shorts, and it was comfortable while walking in warm, summer weather with high humidity. I would say it is medium weight, soft, thick cotton, meaning it is not thin or see through, or flimsy. I can see these shorts lasting years. Like the other reviewers said,it has good sized, deep pockets. It also gives me a flattering curvy shape with a belt on. It lands on my waist at my navel, and it stays there. It also doesn’t require any adjustments with activity. I am very impressed by the workmanship of whoever sewed this together. I bought 3 more of the same shorts. I’ll be keeping an eye out on the Woolrich brand from now on. I felt I got it at a fantastic price at STP.

About Woolrich

The esteemed Woolrich clothing company has come a long way since the early 1800s, when founder John Rich sold socks to logging camps from the back of his mule cart. By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer. Today, after nearly two centuries of putting customers first, Woolrich bedding and clothing is still beloved by those who enjoy the great outdoors and all those who appreciate quality.
