I typically wear a medium in shirts like these and medium was a good fit. I'm 5'8", 130 pounds; I have long arms and broad shoulders. I was afraid of some shrinkage after laundering since it's 100% cotton, but it held up well. The fabric is a nice weight. A couple of women wrote reviews saying the n... Read More

  • “are these seamless in the neck?”
Asked by lydee09 from WI on 11/22/2014 11:18:49 AM
    • No, they have a single seam in the back of the neck.

    • There is an enclosed vertical seam in the ribbing in the center back. No raw edges. Very comfortable for me -- someone who can't stand any irritation.

    • No, they're not, but the seam is so smooth you never notice it.

    • No, they have a seam in the back of the neck, but I'm never aware of it when wearing the turtleneck. I like the neck fairly snug, and even so the seam is not bothersome. I hope this helps.

    • Sorry I can't answer that question because I sent mine back. The neck was very tight, while the body was quite large. The cuffs were tight, too.
I don't know if the neck had a seam.
As I recall, the material was nice, on the beefy side.
Since then, I ordered a different T-neck also from Woolrich - and kept it. It's very stretchy and does not have cuffs. I got it in red, which is a good color red. The neck does have a seam in the back. It's not very noticeable. I had to really look to find it.

    • There is one seam in the back of the turtleneck. These were great turtlenecks, I'm glad I purchased them. Good Quality.

    • No they are not seamless and the necks due run tight.

    • Good morning. No, there is a seam in the back of the turtleneck collar. The collar eases comfortably but closes up snugly. You will feel like you are wearing a scarf that you have adjusted for comfortable warmth around your neck. I am wearing an XL and it is fine for me, but had I tried it on first I would have bought probably an M. I am 5'4" and 145 lb, to give you an idea. I am pleased with my purchase because my only black turtleneck at the time had stretched out cuffs and a sagging collar. This Woolrich one will be too heavy a cotton with too snug a neck to wear in warm weather, but is perfect for now. Happy hunting!

  • “Could you measure the neck? Just lay it flat and measure from one side to the other. I guess this is an unusual request, but I really would appreciate it. (I like a snug neck, and before I order one, I'd like to know if it would work.) I would be ordering a medium, though I am more a size 10 than a size 12. I have seen some remarks that they run big, so this is another reason I'd like to know about the neck. Thank you very much!”

    • The shirt I have is a Large, the neck measures 71/2".

      Hope this helps!

    • The neck measures 6 5/8" across. I've found the neck to be quite snug. I like them snug, too.

    • The measurement I got was 7.5 inches on a turtleneck that had been previously washed and dried. I did the measurement by lining up the top edge of the turtleneck and measuring from side to side being careful not to stretch the fabric. The size shirt I own is a large. For what it is worth, I don't find the neck on these too loose or too tight.

    • Glad to help. The neck is 7 ½ inches at the base and 7 ? inches at the top. I have washed and dried it a couple of times. I am 5' 8", 130 lbs. and wear an 8 or 10 depending on the brand and style. I ordered a medium. I, too, like the neck to be snug, so when I read that others were complaining the neck was too tight, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, I would not say the neck is snug, but it does not gap; one finger will fit between me and the turtleneck. In a perfect world, I would like the neck and body to fit a bit tighter and the body longer so it stays tucked in better. For the price and quality, I am happy with it. Hope that helps.

    • 6 and 3/4 inches...I don't think it runs big at all. It does have a nice neck...I like mine snug fitting and I think it is great.

By 1830, Rich had built America’s first woolen mill in Pennsylvania, and it wasn’t long before Woolrich blankets and clothing became a household name. Over the years, this trusted American brand has enhanced its woolens and other fabrics with contemporary textures, dying techniques and washes, all designed to improve performance and comfort for the modern consumer.
