Reviewed by outdoor runner from WA on Saturday, January 4, 2014I bought this to wear over my other wool layers on runs in cooler weather. It really helps block the wind enough that I've been able to lose a full layer and replace it with this! Have not ran in the rain yet. Vest seems to breath well, as I haven't been drenched underneath it even after an 8 mile run. Also, small fits me perfect. I am 5'9" and weigh 145.
Reviewed by JD Of NSC from Boston, MA on Monday, December 9, 2013The Woolrich Vector is a very well designed and quality manufactured product. The 4 way stretch materials guarantee a form fit yet it it is not confining.
The zippered hand pockets are nicely lined and deep so really work. The front soft shell material is thin, very breathable, water resistant, and very stretchy. It is unlike any material I have seen. I am 5' 10" and 185 LBS and the large fits a little loose so you need to be pretty big to need an XL. Also, the length goes well below your waist so your whole back is covered. The chest pocket is small and a little hard to reach so this is the only negative I can
think of but it is still a good place for a small item to be kept such as a key or business card. This vest is easily worth what STP is asking for it,
especially if you get the deal flyer discount.
Reviewed by Rocky Mountain from Where the elk roam. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013Purchased this to replace a fleece vest because we have 2 large dogs and fleece is is a hair magnet. This still picks up hair, but it's easily shaken or brushed off. It's well made. #5 YKK main and side pocket zippers. The chest pocket zipper is a smaller #3 YKK. Double stitched on the main zipper and pockets. The rest is single stitch, but well done. The material is "soft shell" so isn't noisy like some synthetics. Not insulated, but does provide some protection from wind or light rain. I have a 42" chest and 30" waist. The large is a little baggy. I could wear a medium, but prefer a little extra room. I like that it hangs over the waist line. If you conceal carry the material will print more than fleece because it's smooth and very flexible. The pocket liners are comfortable. They form internal pockets too. No closure, but fine for a hat or gloves. Easy care ie cold wash, low dry. doesn't take up too much space when stuffed into a pack. I do appreciate the earthy low key color tones. Wouldn't have paid full retail, but with STPs deal flyer it was a good buy. I like it so far. Will update if I run into any durability issues.
