Cute jeans but size mislabeled - make sure you try them on!

First off these are the 10MWZKS cut, which wasn't in the product description at the time I purchased.

OK, we all know better. I ordered the same size as my favorite low-rise Wranglers. Since Wrangler products have always been the best-fitting Western wear for me (going on 25 years of big girl jeans now.) So without trying them on I threw them in with all my other jeans, thinking they'd be great.

Nope.

To be clear, the price and quality are great, and the wash and pockets are adorable. The "booty-up technology" that Wrangler is tagging their latest jeans with is not some elaborate spandex lifting insert, just the shaping seams that you can see in the product photos above the back pockets which make them a good fit for women who have a slim waist and full booty. The pair of Mae Premium Patch jeans I recieved are sold as and clearly marked irregular, so Wrangler did the right thing in not passing them off as 1st quality.

But oh how irregular the sizing is. Going off Wranglers' own size chart the "size 5" jeans I recieved are really a 9 with a messed-up inseam.

Here are the actual measurements of these jeans compared with my favorite Wranglers.

These Mae Premium Patch jeans: size 5x32; front rise 9", back rise 15", waist 35", inner inseam 31.5".

My 1st-quality booty-up Wrangler low-rise jeans: labeled cut 08MWZMN, size 5/6 - 32 inseam; front rise 7.5", back rise 9", waist 33", inner inseam 32". These measurements are consistent with my other good Wranglers and the Wrangler site, with appropriate variations between their alphabet soup of different cuts.

Again, they are so cute and inexpensive that they are worth a try. Just make sure to check the actual fit while you can still exchange them.
