Some good some bad

I thought I might have to return these when I was unable to get them onto my hiking boots. We have an eight inch ground cover of mixed snow and ice, so I need to wear something higher than an athletic shoe. I wear a size 8.5 womens, so I bought small yaks. After some struggle and help from my husband's stronger hands, these stretched over--just barely. I then put them in a warm spot and waited overnight. The rubber stretched a bit more and I went outdoors to try them out. Three times they fell off in the snow and I had to backtrack quite a way to retrieve one or the other. Then I tried them on ice only, avoiding snow. They worked beautifully.

I have a half-mile walk to my mailbox every day and these have been working on our icy driveway. I just have to take them off for snow and ice walks.
