Essential for snowy, icy trails

My wife and I tried these out for the first time last week on a partially snowy/icy trail in the mountains near our home, and they were absolutely essential. Shady portions of the trail still covered in ice and snow were traveled with ease, and we rapidly hiked up and down otherwise treacherous stretches of trail without any real fear of slipping. A track fell off my hiking shoe once on a downhill jog, but otherwise, the fit and traction is very good. So impressed I bought another couple pairs as a backup in case these wear out.
