I love YakTrax and even give them as gifts because I believe in them so much. They've given this former couch potato a sense of safety in wintry conditions.

A word of warning: Two situations where they don't work are inside on linoleum/tile - they're very slippery; also they catch on rugs; and in deep snow (4+ inches) - no matter how tight they seem they come right off. I haven't tried this yet but I'd suggest securing them with something across the top of your shoe or boot.

I'm on my second or third pair in 3 years so I'd say they last at least one (6+ month) winter of daily walking.

They run big so check the sizing before you order. I have big feet but wear a medium which is 10.5 in men's or 12 in women's.
