As a letter carrier, I have had the opportunity to try many traction additives to my shoeware. If there is any snow or slush or rough surface on the ice, they work passable well, but your money is better spent elsewhere. If you have very hard, very smooth, evenly set ice, you may as well be wearing ice skates. The coiled design offers no traction.
